Michael Wright, MPA is the Administrator of contracted services for the City of Margate, FL. He leads staff in oversight of City, state and federally funded contracts/programs. Previously, as the Administrator of the Broward County Homeless Initiative Partnership (HIP); he led the County’s Broward County’s Homeless Continuum of Care Program, “A Way Home” Strategic Plan to End Homelessness from January 2010 through August 2018. Mr. Wright served as the Broward Continuum of Care Board Coordinator. Mr. Wright facilitated the community’s efforts to realign Broward’s Homeless Continuum of Care to end homelessness as envisioned in the HEARTH Act. In addition to his experience leading the HIP Section since July 2010, his background includes twenty-five (25) years’ experience in banking, human services, emergency management. Community Development, procurement and private sector banking and finance. Mr. Wright is currently President of The Twelve Step House, Inc. a Fort Lauderdale 501(c)3 serving groups and individuals engaged in Twelve Step programs.
Mr. Wright has also been appointed to the City of Wilton Manors Community Advisory Board, Board of Adjustment and Planning and Zoning Board.
Mr. Wright is an Honors Alumni of Broward Community College (AA 96), as well as Florida Atlantic University (Bachelor of Public Management 99 and Mater of Public Administration 2007). He is a graduate of Leadership Broward Class XXII, and the Broward County Emerging Leaders Program (2009).
