With the month of May having come and gone, Showering Love wishes to thank everyone for their incredible support. Showering Love accomplished so much in May and we are excited for our Father’s Day Fun Day Fundraiser event coming up in June.
This past Memorial Day, we reflected on the ultimate sacrifices made by our fallen military women and men the sacrifices made for our country. Did you know that veterans account for 12% of the homeless population in the US? Showering Love, your favorite mobile shower non-profit organization, is working to help restore hope and dignity with these Veterans, one shower at a time. This passion is something we work proudly to pursue. Also on Memorial Day, some of our favorite people from Showering Love, as well as family, friends, and strangers, headed to the Showering Love Fundraiser at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza on PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, to “Raise Some Dough” for our mobile shower bus.
Though we are still patiently waiting to hear the results for the fundraiser at Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, we are humbled and grateful for the incredible turnout! In a busy world like the one we delve into on a day-to-day basis, sitting down for dinner with your loved ones is something often neglected. With that in mind, it made this event all the more special in regards to the collaboration and communication that took place. The task was simple: order, eat, and mention that you were there for Showering Love, and then Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza would donate a portion of the total towards our cause. We met a lot of people and spread a good amount of awareness from the start of the day to the very end, and we’d happily share it again!
We would like to thank the people who took the time to share a pie – and donations – for a charity like ours. Showering Love is full of happy people who love to spread peace and positivity, and all of your contributions are appreciated a million times over. We would also like to give many thanks to the Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza manager, Shawna, for helping us set up this event. Acts of kindness make a world of a difference – she rocks!
