Mother’s day for homeless moms can be rough. When you think of your mother, you may think of absolute warmth. Love unbridled, filling voids in life with care where there was nothing. You may think of a warm hug on a day so cold, where the whole world seems to be against you, except for her.
But, for Mothers day for homeless moms it can be a day of torture. What if you lost your mom or you’ve lost a child or children or maybe you yearn to have a child.

Mother’s day for homeless moms can be a painful day. Especially for moms who are living on the streets, missing their children while thinking of the way things used to be. Showering Love’s CEO said, ” I tried to commit suicide every mother’s day. I couldn’t take the pain and missed my 4 son’s so badly and wondered if they thought of me.
I tried hanging myself and overdosed several times on Mother’s day. and just couldn’t handle the sharp stabbing pain of missing my kids. My heart was filled with loss and filled with memories of the good times on mothers day gone past.
This is why Showering Love always does something nice on Mother’s day for homeless mom’s. This year we chose to collect gently used purses. We filled the purses with make-up, perfume, jewelry, nail polishes, ladies goodies and so much more with the help of the community.
Homeless Moms need Dreams
Some of the ladies cried when they received their purse and others were so happy. Thanking us! One homeless mom said, Showering love never forgets about us during the holidays. If Showering Love can bring a smile or make Mother’s day for homeless moms less painful by reminding them they are not alone and we care about them.
We are here to help mom’s who are living on the streets and during difficult times. The ladies that attend the mobile showers asked the homeless moms. if they would like a hug. If they did a hug was given. There’s power of a humans touch is very powerful!
Imagine if the whole world felt the warmth that hug brought. Think about the spread of that love to all around you, whether you’re experiencing homelessness or not Mother’s day can be a hard day for many Women. We’re sorry for your pain.
